Years of Experience: 29 years of coaching experience

Jen Cox is the Beam and Floor Coach at Gym-Nation Gymnastics & Cheerleading in Mason, Ohio. She began her coaching career in 1982 and over the course of her 29 years as a coach, has coached Junior National Team members, Elite National Team members, Level 10 National Beam Champions, numerous State and Regional Champions, and has helped secure full college scholarships for many of her graduating athletes. In addition to her coaching experience, Jen has served as developmental curriculum advisor, beam routine choreographer, and Pre-School Instructor. One of the many accolades Jen has received as a coach is receiving the 1996 Region V Coach of the Year Award alongside her co-coach Jon McDonald. Jen has always had a commitment to keeping up with the latest trends in gymnastics and believes strongly in continuing her education within the sport of gymnastics. In 2010, Jen became a professional member of the National Association of Women's Gymnastics Judges (NAWGJ) to enhance her ability to coach and produce better athletes. Jen’s love of gymnastics began at the age of 3 when she was enrolled in dance and acrobatic classes. She was a competitive gymnast from the ages of 11 to 17. As a freshman in high school, she was the All Around Champion at the Class II Region V Championships. Jen spent several weeks at the Woodward Summer Gymnastics Camp and even trained for a time under the direct tutelage of camp owner Ed Isabelle. One of her favorite memories during her time in the sport was a team trip to Russia training with some of Russia’s top coaches and gymnasts. Jen loves spending time with her family and friends; she has two weenie pups, Roscoe and Riley, who keep her on her toes; and she loves anything to do with the outdoors.
