of coaching experience
Patrick Clark started his coaching career in 1996
teaching classes and Level 4 team at Dynamo Gymnastics and at the
Powell Crosley Jr. YMCA. In 1998, Patrick took a team coaching position
at Queen City Gymnastics working with the pre-team, compulsories, as
well as training with the optional gymnasts through Level 8. During his
five years at Queen City, he attended countless training seminars and
camps taught by some of the top coaches in the country as well as
former Olympians which helped Patrick focus his specialties on bars,
vault, and tumbling. Patrick joined the Gym-Nation staff in 2003 and is
currently serving as the Tumbling Director and the Pre-Team Director.
Patrick was first introduced to gymnastics at age 7 when he took a boys
class taught by the wonderful gymnastics coach, Jon McDonald. He took
classes on and off for the next few years and continues to love the
sport.
Patrick has been playing the piano and singing since age 3. His love of
music has developed into his own business called Prime Events
Entertainment. Prime Events Entertainment offers live rock n roll music
from his band “Big Juicy Ham”, DJ Entertainment for parties and
weddings, as well as other event entertainment services. Patrick has
performed the National Anthem at numerous regional and national
sporting events including the Cincinnati Reds and the 2000 Olympic
Trials in Boston.
